App Guidelines
Before school, please install the CCS Core Apps. Beyond this however, you as parent can determine what other apps might benefit your child in the learning process. Feel free to adapt the iPad learning environment to suit your student’s needs. You may want to do a search on the Common Sense Media (CSM) website to read reviews about an app. CSM also has an app for iPhone and iPad, called the Kids Media App, to review all types of media for kids. Let’s work together to find creative solutions to make your child’s classroom experiences as beneficial as possible. Please be certain to update to iOS 14.4 if your iPad does not ship with it pre-installed, so all the apps will run.
Microsoft 365 License
As a part of Covenant Christian School, your child will be provided with an education license for Microsoft 365. This is a free program and allows the iPad apps to work seamlessly with our desktop Microsoft Office programs. In order to use this free service, the students have been assigned a school e-mail account. To protect your child, we have set the restrictions to block e-mails from any address that doesn’t end in covenantschool.com. All e-mail senders and recipients that do not end in covenantschool.com, will be blocked.
